2025 Ford Mustang GT

Few American automobiles have achieved the cultural significance of the Ford Mustang. Introduced in 1964, the Mustang helped create the “pony car” segment and became a lasting symbol of attainable American performance. More than sixty years later, the 2025 Mustang GT continues that tradition as part of the seventh generation Mustang. At its heart is Ford’s naturally aspirated 5.0 liter Coyote V8, available with a traditional six speed manual transmission. At a time when turbocharging, electrification, and automatic transmissions have become increasingly common, the Mustang GT preserves a classic performance formula: a powerful V8 engine mounted up front, power delivered to the rear wheels, and a strong connection between driver and machine. The modern Mustang demonstrates how one of America’s most recognizable performance cars has evolved while remaining remarkably faithful to the idea that began in the 1960s.
